Hi Eva,  I have been reading over and over the Q&A from an anonymous person who wrote about feelings of unreality – suffering depersonalization and living like a robot.

That’s how I have felt for the past 2 months. I’m currently on an antidepressant but haven’t noticed any change other then less sadness.

I go to therapy and tell them they try and help me but I wake up everyday feelings not myself and I’m different now I can’t focus and I can’t concentrate I’m not myself.

I’m currently 4 months pregnant and I don’t know how I’m going to do this motherhood thing if I’m not in touch with reality anymore. I hate this feeling.

I had to leave my job because of the dizziness that came with the anxiety. I’m so lost. Thanks for reading my vent.

Hello D,

Thank you so much for this email. I’m sorry that depersonalization and derealization have taken over your life! The good news is that there IS support out there, and you’re not alone in this.

I encourage you to download my free Grounding meditation so that you can begin to feel more connected with your body and the world around you. This, along with my famous free Stop Dizziness from Anxiety meditation, will really help you. You could listen to the Grounding meditation regularly, say morning and evening and then listen to the Stop dizziness meditation whenever your depersonalization is really bad.

Most importantly, I want you to know that life is worth living no matter how scary it may seem sometimes. Even when your life is ruled by depersonalization and living like a robot!

Please remember that overcoming anxiety takes time . When this disorder happened to me, I spent a long time feeling helpless and alone. Not only that but overcoming derealization is one of the hardest journeys that anyone can experience.

But you’re not alone through this difficult journey – and even if no one in your life understands what you’re going through, I understand and so do so many other people who are overcoming derealization .

No matter how scary or hopeless you might feel, there are always steps you can take towards overcoming derealization and overcoming anxiety for good! One of the most important things to remember when overcoming derealization is that your body needs time to heal. If you’re like me, you might have spent a long time feeling disconnected from your body. But overcoming derealization is one of the hardest journeys that anyone can experience. Those steps include:

– Taking care of yourself: eating well, getting enough sleep and exercise , treating your body with love and kindness

– Overcoming derealization through positive self talk: we’re all human beings who deserve to start feeling like ourselves again

– Coming out of hibernation, making new friends and renewing your relationships with people you care about – coming out of hiding and letting them know how you’re feeling so they can support you

I’m sending as much positive energy as I can into the universe for you overcoming derealization and overcoming anxiety . You’re not alone in this fight – there are always people who understand what you’re going through. And things WILL get better!

Love,

Eva xo
