Improving your posture and breathing will do wonders for your chest pain anxiety.

Q: I got chest pains so bad the other night I was taken to the ER… the doctor said it’s just anxiety without performing any tests.

I find that really hard to accept, it feels to real and I really don’t know what to do and now its coming back… HELP!!

Eva’s response: It can be really hard to accept that your chest pain might just be caused by anxiety. It’s natural to worry about what this might mean for your health.

And there’s no denying that it is definitely really difficult to separate yourself from the stories in your life, especially when you are living and breathing them day in and day out.

Especially when your anxiety symptoms are very real – things like breathing difficulties and a racing heart rate

The truth is, you observe your life through a certain lens. We anxious ladies tend to lean towards a more alarmist or extreme set of conclusions.

Wheras non-anxious people might think “Oh, I have a pain in my chest. Maybe it’s muscular. I will seek help if it gets any worse” and then they release the thought, and the energy surrounding the thought.

So that’s really the key: To catch the feeling, and give yourself a reality check. Because in truth, there are a myriad of reasons why you might experience pain in your chest. Anxiety is a really common one, but it can often be triggered by poor breathing and posture.

So here’s what I want you to do:

Find a quiet space, where you won’t be interrupted. Sit straight, preferably with your back supported on a chair. Feet flat on the ground. Hands in your lap, palms up.

Close your eyes, and bring your attention to your heart chakra, which is in the centre of your chest. Through your nose, breathe rich, shiny emerald green energy into your heart chakra, and exhale back out through your nose.

See your heart chakra becoming greener and brighter. Notice the chest pain begin to lessen as you relax.

Getting control of your breathing sends calming messages to your nervous system, and green energy is soothing and healing.
