Q: I have anxiety and nervous stomach all the time! I am generally an anxious person.

Even when there’s no good or valid reason for me to feel anxious, this horrible feeling of nausea and pain lingers and I can’t manage it.

On the outside, I have a normal life. At least I can project having a normal life. I’m single and in my late 20s. I have a job that provides for my needs.

But this anxiety problem is just so inconvenient and causing me a lot of stress. My persistent negative thoughts and anxious feelings are so intense they overwhelm me.

My primary symptom is stomach pain. I feel gassy and bloated. And I just feel like throwing up whatever I’ve eaten. I thought antacids would help. But these are just temporary remedies.

When anxiety attacks, the stomach pain’s also there. What can I do about this?

Affirmation to help settle anxiety and nervous stomach

Eva’s response: Hi Stephanie, please know that you’re not alone in what you’re experiencing.

Stomach pain, feelings of built-up gas and bloating are consistent with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), which is a common anxiety symptom in addition to being a condition in its’ own right.

Nausea and feeling like you’re about to throw up is consistent with indigestion, again either caused by anxiety or perhaps caused by what you’ve eaten.

It’s sensible for you to consult with your doctor about what you’re experiencing. Even if it’s just to rule out indigestion and IBS.

It’s a bit of a ‘chicken and egg’ quandry… is the anxiety causing the stomach and bowel symptoms or vice-versa?

Energetically, here’s what you’re experiencing and why:

* Bowel symptoms: (Base chakra) Other peoples’ expectations of you are causing you to hold back in life. This is causing you to doubt yourself and really edit what you want to say. You feel as if you can’t be open with those around you in expressing how you really feel.

* Indigestion symptoms: (Solar plexus chakra) What is the persistent situation that you just never seem to learn from? I feel that every time the same outcome happens – time and again, you say to yourself “Will I ever learn?!”

Honey, this is your wakeup call. I want you to not only say the following affirmation – but to truly live it in your life:

“I let go of every habit that no longer serves me, and express my truth with ease.”

Love & light
